Junior Golf Clinics 2012

Attention - All Member Parents & Grandparents!!!

Our Junior Golf Clinics are scheduled for the four Mondays in June.

We have two age groups: 8-12, and 13 Up. This year the 8-12 age group will be 8:30 to 10:30.  The  13 + groups will be scheduled from 9:30 to 11:30.  Participants may include beginners or experienced boys and girls. The program emphasis will stress core values, character traits and golf manners as well as instructions of play and basic rules of golf. Each two-hour session will be broken down into three training stations: 1) Classroom instructions w/video, 2) driving range, 3)chipping and putting. Refreshments will be served at the end of the two hours. The last Monday will include a golf competition with prizes awarded.

The Course At River Oaks will subsidize one half of the overall cost to encourage and promote participation. Both professional and volunteer instructors will be used.  Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend our first Monday Orientation sessions (30 minutes). Participant cost will be $45/ members, $55/non-members.

We realize your child may have conflicts with other summer activities and that is why we scheduled this over a 4 week time frame. If your child has to miss one or two sessions, we think it would still be very worthwhile to enroll plus we will summarize the classroom sessions at the end and provide handouts from all sessions.

We firmly believe this approach will provide training that your child will remember and utilize the rest of their life. That makes it a true bargain.

Juniors will be assisted by Golf Professional, Eric Morrison and Owner, Jim House. Other volunteer assistants will be added to assure that each child receives proper training and guidance.

An entry form must be fully completed and signed by a parent. Remember, we can only accept the first 30 applicants.
